Think we can all agree that there are International secret agents and spies out there! BUT have you ever seen one? And even if you did, would you know it? Grant poses these very same questions to August in this week’s installment of the Adventures of August Winter! As we return to Blackstone Academy for an inquisitive look at spying!
Little slow on the upload for this week’s comic as I moved my office mid-week and didn’t get back online until Friday. Which had an adverse affect on the timeline for the comic’s release! All is well though as its now officially online as you can see and next week’s is already underway 
Went multi-lingual with last week’s installment and saw more than one James Bond movie recently to inspire the current edition, haha. Do you guys have a favorite fictional spy from either a book, movie, video game, or TV show?

I actually have a few favorite spy’s, both fictional and non! The first one is my son haha (this would be the non!). He has a “spy watch” and he regularly dresses up all in black and sneaks around and hides and listens to the goings on around the house. This can be a bit disconcerting at times but also quite funny when he appears looking like a ninja dressed all in black from head to toe
Another favorite spy is…the Pink Panther haha. I’m not sure if he qualifies as a spy, but he cracks me up
. Finally there is Agent 99 from Get Smart. Reason being that she is a woman with major skills and she is always bailing out Maxwell. Plus they have a lot of cool gadgets. If I was going to be a spy, I’d want her to teach me 
August and Grant have fabulous imaginations! Who are your favorite spy’s? Or maybe you are actually a real spy, and you are spying on people right now! haha. Great comic, and kudos to you for getting this out even though you had to move, that could not have been easy.

Wonderful comment!! It’s funny you mention ‘Get Smart’ as I used to love watching re-runs of that on Nick @ Night when I was a kid, haha. Maxwell Smart would certainly be one of my top all time favorite secret agents/spy! With the other of course being Bond, James Bond 007! And the third favorite spy (in no particular order) would be ‘The Saint’, particularly from the movie as I haven’t seen the original TV show before.
Disguises, fancy automobiles, gadgets, its all just so cool! Believe they have a Spy Museum somewhere! I wonder if there are any famous fictional CIA agents? None come to mine, but I’m sure I could be overlooking some. Really liked your reference to the Pink Panther series, fantastic! The Phantom certainly falls under the thief/spy category and Inspector Clouseau played by Peter Sellers is nothing short of phenomenal! Top notch reference there Merrilyn! Plus a Special nod to Agent 99, who like Penny from Inspector Gadget (secret agent extraordinaire!) was the guiding force and perhaps true hero behind the scenes, haha.
Clearly you have a most excellent secret agent in the making in your own household, haha. And I can only hope August and Grant are half as imaginative with their own hijinx and sneaking around like ninjas in all black
To answer your question, there absolutely is a little animal peering out from its home in that tree! Great spot there! Had envisioned it being a bird and then it started to sort of take on some chipmunk-like properties as well, haha.

One of my favorite television programs in my early teen years was The Man From U.N.C.L.E. I enjoyed watching the precarious situations that the two U.N.C.L.E. agents, Illya Kuryakin and Napoleon Solo found themselves in from week to week. Their dialogue was full of tongue-in-cheek double entendres — so funny. Then Bond, James Bond, movies were always fun to watch. August and Grant can be forgiven for not spotting the spies — since spies go to great lengths to be “invisible”.

I have never really seen much of The Man from U.N.C.L.E other than some clips/highlights but it always looked really fun. U.N.C.L.E. of course standing for “United Network Command for Law and Enforcement” (Thanks wikopedia!). I love those names though, especially Napoleon Solo, that is brilliant! Will have to track down some episodes of that to see as now I’m curious about it!
Witty dialogue is essential for a lot of these shows to capture my attention as often the explosions and special effects are a dime a dozen, so to speak, haha. Excellent stuff!
