FEBRUARY 2025 – Bravery and boldness, two essential ingredients for navigating the difficult times in life. As whether you like it or not, rough waters will inevitably find you. Especially when you are trying to create a future that is atypical in its beauty and purpose. But think of the odds you’ve already faced to be where you are. The infinitesimal chance to be alive at this time and in this place, odds that you have already defied. Why not celebrate that and build on the rarity that is you? To preserver when things are tough, to wake up each day and try to move towards your goals, that is the playbook that will get you where you want to go.
Especially when things are stormy and you don’t know what will happen next.
This is when you need to steel yourself, be bold in the face of uncertainty and know intrinsically that we have all been there before. Back against the wall, not able to reason your way out of it, you have to act. And you’re not always going to get it right, you will make mistakes, and the point is to learn from those errors. To re-calibrate your effort, make it more tailored to your mission the next time, to continue to grow and strengthen yourself internally.
Forward momentum, that is the key. Not everything you do is going to be an easy W or a work of art. But if you are too rigid, too fearful, you will never create or do anything of meaning. So read the room, know yourself, and build on your strengths. No one else has your exact skill set or has taken the road you have, but facing adversity is not new. So expect it. Brave it.
