DECEMBER 2025 – The future is happening, ready or not. As per tradition, I took some long walks in the cold to reflect on this year and what signals life has been sending lately. Much remains true, I enjoy spending time in nature, family & friends is everything, purpose drives, life rewards doing difficult things, and there are always more problems to tackle.
This past year was much to devoid of art/writing for my taste, so I’ll be focusing on remedying that as a priority for 2026. Still figuring out what the new tools of AI mean for my artistic pursuits as they continue to get more impressive with each iteration of the models. I use them daily now for tasks – but not my art, holding the line there as I haven’t been able to embrace it for personal projects.

View from a recent hike on a snowy day.
I have to say though, my little cousin drew me a picture of a dragon (that is now featured prominently on my fridge) and it has me inspired to create again! Nothing like seeing handmade art that is one of a kind in person. I think that will be the theme to embrace for next year, to create. And let the chips fall where they may.
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and here’s a toast to new adventures in 26!
